The 2017 Dallas International Film Festival will present Grand Jury Prizes for Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Short Film, Animated Short Film (as selected by a panel of Reel FX jurors) Texas Feature, presented by Panavision and The Studio Movie Grill Silver Heart Award presented by the Schultz family. The DIFF Awards are presented as part of the Dallas Film Society Honors, an evening celebration with a red carpet, cocktail reception, and elegant dinner sponsored by the Arthur E. Benjamin Foundation.

On Friday, March 31, hundreds of students from more than 40 North Texas high schools will participate in engaging workshops and discussions about creating and marketing independent films. A private event of the 2017 Dallas International Film Festival and a production of the Dallas Film Society, High School Day exposes students to many of the exciting venues throughout the Dallas Arts District in Downtown Dallas!

The Dallas Film Society today announced the full schedule of film selections for the 11th edition of the Dallas International Film Festival. The Opening Weekend Celebration will be headlined by a special 50th Anniversary Gala presentation of BONNIE AND CLYDE. Centerpiece Gala presentations include Brett Haley’s THE HERO and Mark Palansky’s REMEMORY, and David Gordon Green receive this year’s L.M. “Kit” Carson Maverick Award.
